Today for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai Shuukan... we'll meander! An interesting word meander ... to sort of walk around without any special goal in site. Not an easy prompt! Here's a haiku by Shashi to give us a little "orientation" of at least one of the meanings of the word:
In the sense of the spiritual the journey of life, Shashi walks through the dark forest of the senses carrying his karmic baggage, as do we all ... a beautiful inspirational haiku!meandering in dark

These are beautiful - and I loved seeing a haiku by a poet who isn't very well-known -- so thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like the trees are crying, doesn't it?
I loved the image of crying leaves so I'm particulary happy you commented it - and I agree it's nice to see a less famous poet! I'm glad you enjoyed the haiku. Hugs
ReplyDeletei loved the image of the pathways leading to the winter dreams...nice haiku! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-)
DeleteMy old willow seems to cry all the time - so soon after blooming, if it is too hot the yellow leaves like giant tears fall at the touch of a slight breeze.
ReplyDeleteAh ... I know what you mean about willows. We've got quite a few along the lake front .. the do really look as though they weep. Thanks Jules for dropping in, been a pleasure to see you.
ReplyDeleteYou have found your spiritual path through the forest ... autumn is the season to do that ''letting go the things you have troubles with ... '' As the trees let go their leaves ...
ReplyDeleteI think you're right here. The autumn is my favorite season as well, I much prefer it to crazy spring!
