This is a haiga painted by Yosa Buson for the world famous haiku ''frogpond'' by Basho:
Haiga ''frogpond'' |
Buson wrote almost 3000 haiku in his lifetime and was a
master of observation, due his painting
skills. This is today's haiku prompt:

ReplyDeleteThank you for fixing the link and I'm pleased you enjyed it.
DeleteThis is gorgeous! Plus I've learned something new about your area. Here, we have peaches and apples. And it can be a catastrophe when the tender blossoms are caught in a freeze, can't it?
ReplyDeleteLoved this haiku.
Thanks Jen - our area id definately agricultural ... except for our tourists of course. Yes here we'll have some early warm days and all the trees start blooming ... then we'll get a cold snap, sometimes even a little snow. But they usually pop right back no worse for the ware. Apples need a freeze, they tell me, to bring on the fruit.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo, no exquisite with a haiku that does it justice. Brava, cara.
ReplyDeleteThanks that was a photo I took last year ... and transformed inot a haiga! Glas you liked it!
