Ghost Writer ... August 6, 2014

For full information about what I'm doing here ... go to today's Carpe Diem Haiku Kai's Ghost Writer post written by Jen of "Blog It Or Lose It" ... I'll give you a hint though ... I'm going to write about scents!

Busch Stadium
hotdogs roasting and popcorn
the Cardinals lost

hot summer day
sweaty passengers crowded
noon in the metro

a moonless night
meat roasting in a clearing
miscui* in Lai    (*barbecue)

on the flight home
canned air and catered food
in mid-September

at the carneval
the smell of cotten candy
the fourth of July

lightening flash
ozone perfumes the air
summer storm

  1. Ah yes .... we're planning a (day) trip to DC soon and will probably utilize the Metro ... gotta love that Metro-in-the-summer smell! (Still -- thank heavens for the Metro -- it's a life-saver.) And is it just me, but do the hotdogs smell ten thousand percent better at a baseball (or in my case, hockey) game? And the last one -- beautiful!

    These are great Georgia! :D

    1. Have a great trip ... and yes the metro has an aroma all its own come winter or summer. Hog dogs at ball parks are the greatest ... like popcorn at the movies. Glad you enjoyed the last one, that's one of my favorite scents ... though now days I might change my mind ... there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. >:-/
