Haiku Horizons - Cut - August 13, 2014

This week's word of inspiration from Haiku Horizons is: cut.

one more slice
cutting the cake with joy
at the child's party

sadness overflows
but the he just didn't know
cut to the quick

the silk dress
cut and sown by grandmother
for mother's wedding

blood flows
the hand needs three stitches
a knife slipped

the new tree
from as apple tree cutting
life continues
