Very nice take on dusk. nightengale concert
ReplyDeleteThanks ... seemed like a nice image to me ... though between you and me I wouldn't know a nigtengale song from a Beatles song ;-)
DeleteA very beautiful bouquet of Haiku.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Usha Menon for stopping by and reading!
Delete"Gloaming" is such a lovely word, and used so seldom. Thanks for including it in this fine tribute to dusk.
ReplyDeleteI do so love the word gloaming .. I read it for the first time years ago (used incorrectly by the way) in Shogun by Clavell. Glad you liked its presence.
DeleteAs it often does darkness opens up to lots of insect drama. Not expected to be quiet but an orchestra of bewitching medley! Nicely Georgia!
ReplyDeleteHank
I must admit that we hear more owls and squeeking bats rather than nightengales ... and of course they're hunting. Thanks for your lovely comment Hank!
DeleteA lovely series -- we're finally getting those cicada-empty branches here in the States. :(
ReplyDeleteThis year we didn't hear them screeching a lot ... not even the crickets for that matter. Everything kind of sloshes. ;-)
DeleteOh no!
DeleteWe're REALLY inundated with crickets suddenly. Glad you're seeing bats there. That's a good sign.
I like the sighing crickets.
ReplyDeleteThanks .... I like to hear crickets at night ... there have been very few though this year.
DeleteAh cara, so romantic as soon as I read crickets sighing...I sighed through the rest of the series. Beautiful, Cara xx
ReplyDeleteGrazie Bella! You're romantic soul makes me wish i'd written more about crickets! Thanks ever so much.
