Haiku Horizons - Try - January 13, 2015

as the tempest growls
try to see the spring-time sun
beyond winter's shroud

cherry blossoms
inside my frozen mind
try to bloom

§

in darkest winter
the sun tries to shine brightly
over white snow fields
remembering golden grain
and the song of cicadas

  1. Hey --- "grain"! I almost made that a Photoku word this week. No kidding. Our muses have been conspiring again -- naughty ladies that they are! LOL

Just beautifully done --- optimistic without glossing over the sheer EFFORT it takes to keep a positive spirit in winter.
