Tan Renga - Oliana's "flying home" - October 10 2014

 power-driven fowl
in rays of a setting sun
flies home

This week's Tan Renga Challenge is provided by Oliana of Traces of the Soul. She wrote this haiku (the first stanza of the Tan Renga, also known as "hokku") in response on our "Sparkling Stars" episode of last Saturday (Oct. 4th). I think this haiku by Oliana can be very inspirational to make a Tan Renga with.

  6. Snow birds are not part of my repertoire.Although we do have snow areas here so there must be snow birds. Must research that. Nice completion.

    1. I came across the term snow birds from my sister who at one time lived in Arizona .. they are people who live in places that get very cold in the winter (like Quebec) and change their residence in the winter to a warmer place (like Florida).

  7. Last winter I felt sorry for the birds - they hadn't gone far enough south.

    1. Fortunately our winter was not really terribly cold ... but these snow birds are of the human sort.
