Writing with Gary Gay - October 22, 2014

The Ghost Writer at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai this week is Garry Gay haiku poet since 1979 and photographer, co-founder of the Haiku Poets of Northern California and inventor of the Rengay, a modern version of the Renga. Our goal:

"create ... haunting  misdirection’s."

taken by storm
screeching winds howl
over the grave yard

black claws in the sky
death bells toll in the city
halloween weather

screech in the night
a sheet blew off the clothes-line
onto the alley cat

Being rather literal minded, I found this a particularly difficult prompt, this was our hosts haiku example:

My skeleton
going for a walk
in the cemetery

I wanted  to see some more of Gary's haiku so I googled and came up with Terebess Asia Online  (which you might want to go and visit!) where I found quite a few, and more inspiration ...

Autumn begins
leaves follow me
into the shed

 used book store;
the cat moves quietly
among dead authors
