Sparkling Stars - Kikaku - The Begger - August 25, 2014

For Carpe Diem Haiku Kai ...

...] "When Soshi was about to die, his disciples wished to bury him in a grand style, but Soshi said, "My coffin will be Heaven and Earth; for the funeral ornaments of jade, there are the sun and moon; for my pearls and jewels I shall have the stars and constellations; all things will be my mourners. Is not everything ready for my burial? What should be added to this?" [...]

  1. Really a lovely progression Georgia! :)

  2. I could see that lovely buck wandering ahead of his doe to make sure it was safe and it made me smile and that last one is so positive, encouraging us to continue being kind:) Bless you, Georgia, you write so beautifully and inspire your readers.

    1. Thanks Cher ... I wa remembering the parable of the birds and went from there. I'm very happy you enjoyed the post and felt inspired by it! :-)

  3. When my grand-daughter is dropped off in the morning our new routine is for her to get into the stroller and we go for a walk to listen to the birds... While she still just babbles... I tell her that her song is beautiful too.

Thank you for the gift of release. While I would so very much like to believe that after almost 14 years, my fathers ashes have traveled to all the places he would have wanted to go... concluding with rest away from earth into a bigger gentle hug of the universe.

  4. Thank YOU for sharing these thoughts with me. a huge hug ...Namaste
