Whirling Dervishes from Turkey. They belong to a Sufi Islamic sect called the Mevlevi founded by the famous philosopher Mevlana. Picture was taken from the top viewing gallery. By Cenkko

  1. This is a fascinating dance. The Sufi sect is very mysterious I believe. Enjoyed this one ! I saw a movie ages ago about Sufis called " Hideous Kinky" with Kate Winslet. You might enjoy it.
