in early morning
spirit flies upon the wind
announcing autumn

a call from afar
memories of wind and sea
my spirit soars

spirit of the sailors
calling to their families
on the morning wind

    Oh my -- I haven't heard that song in ages!
    Your photo certainly invokes the feeling of a spirit finally freed -- such a lovely series here.

      Thanks ... I took that photo the other morning, along with many others and of course they were for the most part blurry and useless ... as was this one. But I wanted to get into the spirit of Belif in Spirits and this gull seemed just the thing. Then of course I thought of that old song ... What better than White Bird and the rest was the muse feeling like a soaring white bird ;-)
