Time Glass Challenge - September 9, 2014

A new Challenge on Carpe Diem Haiku Kai ... write a haiku to the prompts in 12 hours ... hope I have the time!

First photo and the prompt is LOVE:

on the city streets by lovers
lost in themselves

Here is the second photo and the prompt is AUTUMN LEAVES:

lost in distant horizons
autumn leaves fall

Alas ... I was able to finish in the nick of time but as I was linking ... Mr. Linky shut me out!  Sigh. I didn't read too carefully and so I wrote two haiku thinking there were two prompts ... alas, if I'd written only one.

  1. A nice response on our Time Glass feature Georgia, I thought it a bit sad that you were to late with linking, so I have linked you to the Time Glass feature.
What a gorgeous set of haiku you have shared here. It's great to read your haiku both are extraordinary and maybe I wasn't clear enough ... but you just had to respond on the second photo and the prompt "autumn leaves", but your "love" haiku is great too. Thank you for participating in this new Time Glass feature. Next time better ... I will post our second episode of Time Glass next Monday September 15th. For now ... thank you for sharing and trying to be on time ...

    1. You were very clear in your post, I didn't read it past the part of having 12 hours to write the haiku and I had around 5 minutes to do the post. So I copied the photos/word prompts and wrote the haiku, publishing them as soon as I finished, without tags etc. (editing later) but unfortunately it was then 7:05. Then I read the rest of the post and saw that love was an example o.O

I'm happy you liked them and that you linked the post anyway, I will be prepared for next weeks post and won't be late! :-)

  2. These are both lovely Georgia -- and prompted or not, I love the desert rose haiku -- a bittersweet image -- it is really very striking. :)

    1. Thanks .. it was an instant haiku ... no time to think I just saw the image and there it was a deserted rose on the highway ... et voila! From deserted I went to desert ... desert roses are of course made of stone and they're beautiful.

    1. I'm also glad I wrote the rose haiku ... it was off in flat 3 minutes probably less, just the time to type it. The image just was so inspirational.

  5. Happy for you ... here it's been sunny during the day but in late afternoon it rains. This morning at 10:00 it was 18° C. Not bad really!
