Snow - December 11, 2014

snow flakes fall
in the early evening
withered grass

pink dawn
on the mountain road
fresh plowed snow

snow falls
the fireplace crackles
 vin brulè is hot

Some haiku examples by Jane Reichhold:

Satisfied
with toast and cocoa
it stops snowing

porch light
brilliant with the points
of falling snow

night light
snow falls
on the porch

  1. This is such a beautiful series, Georgia -- well accompanied with your photo, too.
It really is wonderful how snow reflects whatever light tries to embrace it - whether it's a pink dawn or an orange evening street lamp. So many wonderful possibilities ---

    1. I agree .. snow is fantastic ... in photos of course ;-) This one came out perfectly with a little shading retouch. Glad you liked the haiku series - which I wrote before I did the photo ;-)

    1. To tell the truth because of the very large lake that we have in the valley where I live, we never get snowfall like in the photo - it may or may not snow but if it does it's all gone the next day.
