Cicadas - Time Glass Challenge - October 6, 2014

Here we are again with the sands runnin out of the time glass on Carpe Diem Haiku Kai.  Today's prompt word  is:

Cicadas

It is tie for our 5th time challenging feature "Time Glass" in which the goal is to write a haiku (classical or non-classical) within 12 hours. The only thing you get from me is a photo, painting or another image and a prompt. Both have to be used for your haiku.

Here's the photo:

cicadas sing hyms
high pitched screeching song
the crow listens

  1. I've been in a few congregations where the elderly ladies sounded a bit like screeching cicadas -- nicely done Georgia ! :)
