Tan Renga - Early Morning from Bastet and Sekhmet's Library - November 8, 2014

For this week's "Tan Renga" at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, Chèverfeuille has honored my by choosing my haiku that I wrote for Shuukan and published on Bastet and Sekhmet's Library on November 2, 2014:

The Shuukan prompt (HERE) was the OM - Om purifies bliss and pride (realm of the gods)  - from the mantra  Om Mani Padme Hum.

Rain drops

early morning
silence before the rising sun
raindrops on a branch

(c) G.s.k. ’14

§§§§§§§§§§§

Here is the lovely conclusion created by our host which I enjoyed very much:

early morning
silence before the rising sun
raindrops on a branch
(Georgia)

on the deserted beach
I greet the sun with joy
(Chèvrefeuille)

Here is my attempt to write a conclusion to the "hokku":

early morning
silence before the rising sun
raindrops on a branch

in somber autumn darkness
tears fall softly in the woods

a yellow breasted finch
twitters in the dawning light
dispelling storm clouds

  1. A lovely renga, Georgia -- the storm clouds never have a chance on your blog! You always send them packing - with style. :)

    Hugs!

    1. We just had 3 days of rain .. he sang all the same even under the pouring rain ... but the clouds ignored him.
