Blistering Wind - Tanka - December 17, 2014

blistering wind
 heavy grey listless skies
portents of snow
walking huddled to the store
my coat keeps me warm

This was written for Haiku with Ha ... he wrote a lovely haibun as an introduction to the prompt, telling us about a recent trip he took to the north of his country ... have a look by following the link!

  1. We adapt. Keep warm. :)

We are still in the 40's F or 4 C - I thought there was frost on the cars yesterday morning but it was just a thick foggy mist. I've only had to put on my 'long janes' once or twice so far. I actually bundled up Little Miss and took her for a walk around the block (she in her stroller) and I walking briskly.

  2. The wind comes blistering indeed. A well-penned tanka.
I like the look of this site. I must mention that you are a great blogger, managing different sites, in such an efficient manner. :-)
