A Dream in A Dream - Tan Renga - November 28, 2014

 Carpe Diem Tan Renga

This week for  the Tan Renga Challenge I'm honored  that Chèvrefeuille chose one of the haiku I wrote for Carpe Diem's Ghost Writer:  A Dream Within A Dream where we were to distill a great poem by Edgar Allen Poe written by Jen from Blog it or Lose it.   I originally  published the haiku on my WordPress Blog with the collage that you see at the top of the page.

a dream in a dream
sand slipping through old fingers
autumn leaves turn red

wondering where the time's gone
she walks alone in the park

sunshine streaks the trees
first snow flakes begin to fall -
early afternoon

  1. I love this continuation, Georgia, but that second line in your haiku is stunning...it could be the name of a tv series or book of short stories...each story a new memory. Wow! I really like that thought! (hint hint)

  3. I really like how the complete set seems to condense time, almost, with the sunshine and snow occurring together. Because time doesn't really occur in a straight line, memories always keep the past alive in the present. And you capture that poignancy well, I think.

    1. Thanks Blake ... love your considerations here ... and I agree, time or perhaps memory doesn't occur in a straight line ... yours is a lovely comment.
